Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Students in the MSN program must complete an approved Healthcare Provider CPR course prior to participating in clinical rotations. The approved course must include Adult, Child, and Infant CPR as well as automated external defibrillator (AED).

The original, valid BLS card must be submitted via EXXAT by Friday of week 12 of the term prior to the first clinical course. An active copy of the BLS card must remain on file throughout all clinical practicums.  Students will be responsible for the cost of this certification as well as for ensuring the certification remains current. Only certification from the American Heart Association will be accepted.
