Student Development and Campus Life Program Learning Outcomes
At Berkeley College, student engagement extends beyond the classroom to create meaningful, well-rounded learning experiences. SDCL’s programs are intentionally designed to support student growth, success, and connection by fostering both academic and personal development.
Through participation in campus programs and initiatives, students gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences that contribute to their overall development. Each program is designed with specific learning outcomes in mind to ensure that students leave with meaningful takeaways that support their academic, personal, and professional journeys.
As a result of participating in our programs, students will have the opportunity to develop in the following areas:
- Co-Curricular Development – Enhancing and connecting learning beyond the
classroom to support academic success - Character Development – Growing personally through positive behaviors, values,
and decision-making - Community Service & Civic Engagement – Connecting with and contributing to
local and global communities - Career Skills – Building competencies that support career readiness and
professional success - Diversity in a Global Society – Expanding awareness and understanding of
different cultures, identities, and perspectives - Leadership – Developing the ability to lead, collaborate, and manage effectively
- Social Connection – Building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging
within the campus community - Wellness – Supporting emotional, mental, and physical health and well-being
These learning outcomes serve as the foundation for creating impactful experiences that empower students to thrive both during their time at Berkeley College and beyond.
